Sunday Funday

Well I haven't been so great with taking pictures but I am going to post anyway. I don't think I have a lot of followers so I think the main thing here is me being able to remember someday what I am going through. Saturday night I went to a wedding for my old co-workers daughter. Up until the day of the wedding I wasn't too worried about what I was going to wear just I figured I have just gained about 5 pounds so most dresses should fit me OK still. Well apparently I am getting bigger than I realized. The 1st dress I put on made me look like a giant because it already makes my butt look big and now I have a big belly too. so that was out. The dress I ended up with didn't show too bad until after dinner when I was pleasantly reminded that yes indeed I am starting to show already at 12 weeks. Now mom says it's because it's a girl but other people say it's also because it's my 2nd and you just show earlier with your 2nd. Granted a lot of those people had boys first and girls second but since I have no idea what we're having yet I will just let people continue to guess. So for pregnancy I am 12 weeks I have gained somewhere between 5-7 pounds depending on the day and I am hoping to keep it there for a little while. I have to make my 16 week apt the end of June and it will be 6 weeks since my last apt and I am really hoping to be up just another 3 pounds. However while typing I am dreaming of my skinny cow ice cream treat :-)
As for Janie, she is for sure enjoying playing in her new little pool. The only problem is that every time we have played out there, it wasn't planned and she ended up playing in her clothes. I didn't want to ruin the moment and run inside to change her so I just removed her shirt and let her swim and play in her shorts. She is still terrible at going in a stroller. I am trying to get some exercise every day, so today we attempted a walk. We got all the way to Grandma's house (about .7 miles away) when Jane decided to get out of the stroller and walk. We then made it to the end of the street...maybe an additional .2 miles and she tripped and fell and scraped her leg. So I finally got her to turn around and head home but by this point she was refusing to go in the stroller so either I was carrying her or she was walking. She tripped twice so basically just wanted me to hold her. Now picture a pregnant lady, pushing a stroller and carrying a 20 month old. needless to say my arms we're getting tired and I just wanted to get home...easily .5 miles to go before we would get there, not that long but seems long when you're carrying all that extra weight. Thankfully my great mother in law came by in the car because she thought she heard Jane crying and offered us a ride home, I took it and that was the end of the walk. I really wish she liked her stroller, I even have a fancy expensive jogging stroller and she still just doesn't like it. It really stinks because I would love to walk more and get more exercise and it's just not an option. I guess that's what they say when they say Life changes when you have kids!

Good morning! Happy Memorial Day to all who have served and are currently serving! Last night we went to a party at Jess and Luke's to celebrate Fred who graduated from Eau Claire, Tom who graduated from pipefitters school, Paul who turns 21 this week and Peter who turns 3 today. It was a lot of fun and I think Jane really likes to go because there are so many kids to play with. On my side she just has Alyssa who is about 11 years older than her so it's nice to have so many kids on the Fohrenkamm side for her to play with. We had a lot of food, beer (soda for those who can't drink) and cake and ice cream. Now the cake and ice cream probably should have been avoided if I am trying to gain only 30 pounds but what can I say I am pregnant and like sweets.

So I have a story to share about Jane and the funny things she likes to play with. SHe has this little chair, the kind you put in the bathtub when they are big enough to sit up but not big enough to be unassisted. I think we used it when she was like 6 months maybe. Well she saw it in the basement and wanted to play with it, so we brought it upstairs and she loves to climb in and play. The only problem is she is clearly too big for it and gets stuck. I think she is finally learning how to get out but usually she just whines once she gets stuck and needs help getting out. Then as soon as she gets out, she climbs right back in. It's super annoying for a mom because she is mad if I don't let her play, but then gets mad because she can't get out on her own. Makes for a great photo though :-)

We're back

So, the last time I blogged was right after Jane's 1st Birthday. Well she is now 20 months so it has been a while but i just can't seem to get in the habit of writing a blog. But now I am pregnant with another and I find myself trying to remember how I felt at this point in the pregnancy with Jane and wishing I would have blogged more details and that would help me remember. So even though I plan to only have two kids anyway I am going to try harder this time. Anyway I am about 11 weeks pregnant with the 2nd, no idea what we're having some days I think boy and some girl. I will for sure be finding out at the 20 week ultrasound but if you know me at all you know I am impatient and don't like to have to wait so long. I am at the point in the pregnancy where I am still tired ( who wouldn't be though when you're pregnancy and have a toddler) but thank God I am past the nauseous stage. I don't look pregnant yet but I have def gained weight so I just look fat and I hate this part. Some close friends are trying to remind me that I freaked out about the weight gain in the beginning with Jane but I just don't remember and I also know I gained a lot in the beginning and then slowed down but can't remember how much I gained when. So this time I have gained about 5 pounds maybe 6 by week 11. I think that is kind of a lot when I have a goal to gain only 30 throughout but again hopefully the gain will slow down soon. I felt pretty nauseous for the first few weeks and that has pretty much over now just tired. I know when I need to just go to bed because EVERYTHING starts to bother me and I start to feel a little ill, so all those feelings is my indication that it's just bed time.

Jane is getting huge these days. She has definitely changed from a baby to a big girl. We got her a potty to play with and I am hoping that will make the potty training easier? She is still in a crib but have decided for B-day #2 we will transition her to a big girl bed. This way we won't have to buy another crib and I think 2 is big enough to get out of a crib. She is really trying to talk quite a bit and the cutest thing she started saying "morning" I go and get her in the morning and I always say Good morning and all of a sudden the other morning I walk in there and she looks at me and says "mornin" it's a lot of fun to watch her learn how to do new things and how to say new things and I am thinking at this point words will start coming quickly for her. Hopefully I will remember to keep posting and can look back on the blog someday and at least remember some things regarding Jane.
