Jane is already 4 months old. I can't believe how fast the time has been going. She went from this tiny little peanut who couldn't do anything for herself to a big girl that plays all by herself. We started trying to give her a little taste of baby rice cereal and so far she is NOT interested. I can't even get her to open her mouth and try to eat so it's not going so well. Dr said it will take some time so I am not too worried yet but I will keep trying. I borrowed a book from Ashley that shows you how to make your own baby food. I am kind of excited to try some of those things out. Most of the recipes say babies are ready at 6 months for this stuff, so I still have plenty of time to teach Jane how to eat before we break out the real food!
Next week I go back to work. For those of you who know me I am thanking GOD that I am not going back to my old job at the State. I have a new part time job at Hanzlik Financial in 1st State Bank. I am looking forward to a new experience but a little worried about being away from Jane for almost 9 hours, 3 days in a row. Fortunately mom has Monday's off and will be watching her on Mondays, so only two days of daycare. Even better the daycare is 1 mile from the bank so I can go and feed her on my lunch break! We will see how it goes. She sure does love her mama so I am a little nervous how she does. I have done a good job of getting her nice and spoiled cause how can you not want to hold your little baby all the time?
One funny story and then I will call it a day. Yesterday I went to the grocery store and Target while Jane stayed home with dad. Once I got home Joe was holding Jane and watching out the window. Every time I got close to the house Jane got excited and smiled, when I went back out to the car for more groceries she got fussy. Finally I came in and went to the bathroom. Jane started crying cause she could no longer see me, the second I walked out of the bathroom and she saw me, she immediately stopped crying, jumped a little and a big smile on her face! I am glad my little girl loves her mama!
That is SUCH a cute story Reb!
